Discover The Best Diet For Candida Here

Author: NurayKentie

These 5 great tips listed below will show you the best diet for Candida...

You may be suffering from Candida or yeast infections. Maybe you are not knowledgeable about this, but the proper diet can free you of yeast infection or Candida.

Firstly, we need to know the causes of Candida infection. A diet high in sugar content can definitely be the cause of a yeast infection. A weak immune system can also cause it because your body's defenses against bad bacterial growth are low.

This is why cancer and HIV patients, infants and diabetics are much more vulnerable to be infected.

Therefore, it is imperative that you eat a healthy diet. Look below to find a list of great tips that can help you with the best diet for Candida.

1.Anti-microbial herbs:

You should definitely include anti-microbial herbs that are rich in phytochemicals in your diet. The yeast bacteria in your system will be greatly reduced with these herbs and you will recover from the infection quicker. These anti-microbial herbs are very cheap and can be found in your local health food store.

2.Probiotic diet:

Make sure you eat and drink foods that are very high in micro-organisms. A good example for Candida is yogurt that contains live lactobacillus culture. The type of yogurt is very effective in controlling the growth of yeast bacteria, as well as assisting in digestion. It also helps the system to produce natural antibiotics that will fight against the infection.

3.Minimize consumption of carbohydrates and sugars:

Discontinue eating breads, pastries, cakes, syrups and all foods that are rich in sugar. Consumption of these kinds of food is definitely a no-no when you're on a diet for Candida. Yeast bacteria thrive on sugars so avoid these foods to prevent further bacterial growth.

4.Feast on vegetables and grains:

If you have been inflicted with a yeast infection, you need to eat more vegetables and grains. Garlic is an incredibly effective cure for yeast infections because of its very potent anti-microbial powers. The bad bacteria in your system can also be made less by eating asparagus. Rice and oats, which are non-glutinous, should be included in your diet as well. However, avoid foods or drinks that are fermented in any way. Fresh and dried fruits must also be avoided when you have a yeast infection.

5.Detox:

This diet for Candida will be more effective if you also undergo this cleansing and detoxification program that's so easy to do and follow. By undergoing this simple and effective cleansing and detoxification program, your Candida diet will be so much more effective. This amazing cleansing program will rid your body of all those unwanted toxins in order for your yeast infection to be gone forever.

lentils and sweet onion

Here's a recipe I remember from an old boyfriend of mine who was czechoslovakian.

Here's how it goes:

You'll need to cut up a large onion and fry it slowly on medium low heat until the onion is caramelized. It will take a while so be patient.

Once the onions are nice an brown, add a heaping tablespoon of white flour to your frying pan, coat all the onion pieces.

Then add your can of lentils, season heavily with salt and pepper and put a couple tablespoonfuls of white vinegar.

Voila.

Serve wish a side of sausage, or with toasts.

It's so simple but so nutritious too.

The Best Omega3 Foods Revealed

Author: Rich Hawkins

We have been told for ages now to eat more omega3 foods to stay healthy, but which are the best foods to get it from, and which single source has the highest amount?

The main problem is that most of us are deficient in these vital fatty acids, with recent studies finding that at least 85% of us need more! This is because our bodies cannot make omega3 so it must come from our diet.

Omega3 foods that are good can be leafy greens like spinach and kale, flaxseed, strawberries, walnut and almonds from vegetable sources. Most good quality meat will contain some omega3 like beef and chicken.

However in order to get the most benefits like prevention of heart attacks, lower cholesterol and blood pressure and improved brain health and mental well-being we need to look at oily fish. Salmon, herring and mackerel are all good but the very best one is Hoki from the Southern Ocean of New Zealand.

Let me explain why.

The two main fatty acids are DHA and EPA, with DHA being responsible for most of the benefits, especially brain and heart health. Hoki is the best of the omega3 foods as it contains high levels of DHA and very little contamination. The problem is that we are advised to only eat one portion of oily fish a week due to our polluted oceans so the very best source is a fish oil supplement from Hoki.

A third omega3 fatty acid called ALA can be had from flaxseed oil and other non meat sources but is nowhere near as beneficial as the body must convert it to DHA and this process doesn’t always happen.

When selecting fish oil, ensure it has been molecularly distilled to remove all the toxins like mercury and lead, to leave only pure concentrated oil, still in its natural state to be easily absorbed by the body, making it the best option of the omega3 foods.

With one of the world’s foremost health experts saying that consuming more DHA omega3 fats is probably the single most important dietary change that most people could ever make to improve their health, you know how important they truly are.

Look for a supplement high in DHA, at least 250mg per capsule to get the maximum benefits. Most on the market have higher EPA levels so check the individual levels carefully.

So in closing hope this article on omega3 foods will help to point you in the right direction when looking for the best possible source to keep you in excellent health now and in the future.

Expert Food Tips for Chronic Hepatitis C

Author: Nicole Cutler, L.Ac.

For those living with Hepatitis C, much of the focus for staying healthy is based on traditional Western medicine. Unfortunately, these medications don’t always effectively support the needs of a large population of the hepatitis community, and can even cause more discomfort or illness than before. For those seeking alternative, natural ways to stay healthy, it can be overwhelming with all of the options available today.

One simple option that is available to everyone, and is often overlooked, is making healthy food choices. Many people do not realize, or even forget in this fast paced culture that we live in, how much of an effect our food choices have on our bodies. Getting back to basics with healthy nutrition can be a great way to start feeling better.

If you have Hepatitis C, you may have been warned about the many foods that can harm your liver, but then are often left in the dark about what foods may help. There are many ideal foods out there that provide lots of antioxidants and vitamins and can help to remove toxins, as well as help support the immune system. To name a few, whey protein helps to build antioxidants, mung beans provide vitamins and can help flush toxins and shitake mushrooms have been shown to strengthen the immune system. Artichokes, dandelion greens and foods rich in selenium such as Brazil nuts and broccoli are also beneficial to your liver.

Understanding the positive effect that healthy food choices can provide is just one more way to keep your body healthy. Making the choice to consume foods that benefit your body rather than harm your body is another valuable tool that is readily available and can make a big difference in how you feel.

Will Fish Oil Remove Depression?

Author: Larry L. Taylor

Will fish oil remove depression? Many have said it does and some say it helped. Maybe for some and maybe not for others. This article will examine some of the findings on fish oil treatment. Perhaps it will be of benefit for you.

A number of clinical studies report that a fish oil depression treatment is safe and effective. Some studies indicate that it is as effective as traditional anti-depressant drugs. But, it does not cause the negative side effects that those drugs cause. In this article, you can learn about the fish oil depression dosage that is recommended by a doctor of naturopathic medicine, but it is important to mention that depressive feelings can be serious.

Get Professional Assistance

If you suffer from this problem, you should be under a doctor’s or counselor’s care. It is important to have your symptoms evaluated to see just how serious the condition is. If you consult a doctor of naturopathic medicine, you can still elect a fish oil depression treatment or other natural remedy. But, counseling is highly beneficial, too.

Depression Symptoms

There are many things that can cause depressive feelings, including life changes, medications, health problems and nutritional deficiencies. Stress and pressure at work or home can cause the problem, too. There are physical, as well as mental symptoms. The physical symptoms may include headache, backache, and itching, blurred vision and stomach problems. An appropriate fish oil depression dosage can help with those things, too. It has natural pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory activity. It is good for the digestion and for the skin’s health.

Fish Oil Depression Dosage

The appropriate fish oil depression dosage depends on the amount of omega3 fatty acids that are in each capsule. For example, the better products provide 500mg of omega3 fatty acids per 1000mg of oil. Three capsules per day are generally recommended for adults.

In addition to a fish oil depression treatment, there are other natural remedies. For example, SAM-e has effects that are very similar to conventional anti-depressants. Since it is a nutrient that is naturally present in the body, there are no unwanted side effects. The amino acid 5-HTP has been beneficial for many people, as well.

You might be wondering just how a fish oil depression dosage could be effective. Researchers have attempted to explain that by looking at the chemical reactions that occur in the brains of animals. What they have seen is that it is something like “feeding” the brain’s cells.

They began to investigate a fish oil depression treatment when it was noted that low blood levels of an omega3 fatty acid called DHA were found in people that suffered from the condition. Later research revealed that suicide victims often had low levels of EPA, another omega3 fat. Of course, there are life situations that sometimes trigger suicide, including a build up of stress. But, when there are no “outside” reasons for the condition, we have to look at the inside of the body.

A good fish oil depression dosage will provide both 360mg of EPA and 840mg of DHA. This amount has been used in some clinical studies. But, remember, your body needs complete nutritional support. It is difficult to get all of the support that you need through diet alone. A fish oil depression treatment can be effective alone or in combination with SAM-e and 5-HTP. Again, consult an appropriate health provider.

And now, see my website listed listed below for more information on fish oil depression treatment and the proper fish oil depression dosage.

Vitamin K: the Anti-Aging Vitamin

Author: Ruth Butters

Vitamin K may not be one of the most widely-known vitamins, but it's one of the most important when it comes to anti-aging.

Since it's discovery in 1929, Vitamin K has been recognized as being crucial to the process of blood coagulation - in fact, the "k" stands for koagulation, the German form of the word coagulation. But recent research has shown that this often-forgotten vitamin may be a vital tool in the prevention and treatment of a host of age-related disorders.

Research Reveals That Vitamin K Plays Many Roles in Maintaining Health
One of the most important discoveries about vitamin K is that it regulates the production and flow of calcium. This ability makes it a key player in the prevention and treatment of many of the most common and debilitating age-related diseases.

Vitamin K and Osteoporosis: Osteoporosis is a degenerative bone disease that occurs when calcium is leached from the bones. Recent studies have shown that people who had the highest vitamin K levels had a significantly lower risk of osteoporosis and related problems such as hip fracture.

Vitamin K and Arteriosclerosis: Arteriosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries, is a progressive disease caused by arterial calcification, which happens when calcium leaks into the arteries. This process is closely linked to heart damage and disease. Animal studies done in Japan showed that the introduction of additional Vitamin K effectively reduced arterial calcification, and it reduced related heart damage as well.

Vitamin K and High Blood Pressure/Stroke: Excess calcium has been identified as a major causative source of high blood pressure and resulting strokes. By regulating the amount and distribution of calcium in the body, ample amounts of Vitamin K could potentially act as both a preventative and a healer.

Vitamin K and Diabetes:
Japanese studies have demonstrated that animals with a measurable vitamin K deficiency had pancreatic problems that caused the release of too much insulin into the blood - a scenario similar to that of diabetes in humans. Ongoing studies are investigating the possibility that vitamin K could be used to in the treatment of diabetes.

Vitamin K and Alzheimer's Disease: Research has indicated that there is a correlation between vitamin K deficiency and the presence of a specific genetic variant associated with Alzheimer's. It has been suggested that without sufficient vitamin K to regulate the creation and flow of calcium throughout the system, arterial damage may lead to problems with brain function.

Who Needs Supplemental Vitamin K?
The body can actually manufacture vitamin K, but because we generally synthesize only a third of the amount that we need, it's important to eat foods that contain it (leafy green vegetables and liver) to avoid deficiency.

The recommended daily requirement for adults is around 100 mg, an amount that should easily be met via a reasonable healthy diet. However, there are some circumstances in which additional vitamin K could be needed. Liver and gall bladder disease are known to deplete vitamin K, as are diseases of the intestinal tract. Some medicines, including long-term antibiotics and cholesterol lowering drugs can also cause deficiency.

Fast Breakfasts for Families On The Go

Author: Julie

Are your mornings a whirlwind as you try to get everyone out the door to get to work and school on time? Do you have time for a nutritious breakfast or is breakfast a meal that is reserved for weekends? Studies have shown that the benefits of eating a nutritious breakfast give you a great start that lasts all day. Eating breakfast gives your metabolism a boost, keeps you feeling full so you don’t overeat later in the day, gives you energy to improve your mood and sharpens your focus so you do better at work and school. What’s more, people who eat breakfast tend to be slimmer than breakfast skippers.

With all of the good things breakfast does for your body and mind, it’s worth finding some ways to make time for it every morning. Here are some easy ways to make sure that your family is getting the nutritious start they need.

Cereal

Breakfast cereal is the easiest way to start your morning, but the cereal you choose matters. Highly sweetened cereals give you a sugar rush that’s followed by an energy crash that leaves you tired, lethargic and hungry well before lunch. So by-pass the sweet, multi-colored rounds and puffs and pick up something more substantial. Look for whole grains, like shredded wheat, bran cereals, granola and muesli. For an extra boost, sprinkle some dried or fresh fruit and nuts on your cereal for a nutritious and fiber-rich breakfast that will keep you feeling full until lunchtime.

Protein

Studies have shown that people who start their day with eggs and bacon weigh less than people who eat bagels and cream cheese, because your body works harder to digest protein, burning more calories and fat. For a fast and portable breakfast, scramble some eggs, sprinkle on a little bit of cheese and fill a pita pocket. You could also boil 6 or 8 eggs while you are making dinner, so they will be ready to peel and eat during the morning rush. When you are boiling the eggs, add a teaspoon of vinegar and a few drops of food coloring to the water. This colors the boiled eggs, so they are easy to find in the fridge.

Smoothies

Fill your blender with a half a cup of yogurt, a cup of milk, a frozen banana, some frozen berries and a scoop of protein powder. Mix it up and take it to go. Smoothies are a protein rich, delicious way to start your morning. For a cold, creamy kick to your morning smoothie, try this trick: When bananas turn brown on the counter, freeze them whole in their peels. To use them in your smoothie, peel them with a knife and add the frozen chunks directly into the blender.
